support, Meditari Accountancy Research has grown in stature over the last
number of years. The most recent Scopus citation statistics (SNIP and IPP), for
example, places Meditari Accountancy Research ahead of 90% of the journals in
the ABDC’s B category and 50% of the ABDC’s A category journals. Of course,
these are only indicative statistics. We remain committed to publishing
innovative research of high quality across methodologies, paradigms, and
sub-disciplines within accountancy, and are confident that citation statistics
and rankings will continue to, and eventually, reflect the usefulness of the
journal’s articles to others.
One of the
strategies to ensure that we continue to publish innovative research is through
special issues. Therefore, I would like to draw your attention to, and invite
you to consider submitting a paper to, two forthcoming special issues:
1. Integrated Reporting: linkages with organisations' internal
processes, Submission deadline 20 November 2016 [Call for papers: http://emeraldgrouppublishing.com/products/journals/call_for_papers.htm?id=6858]
2. Intellectual Capital and Big Data: A managerial revolution or
reality?, Submission deadline 31 May 2017 [Call for papers: http://emeraldgrouppublishing.com/products/journals/call_for_papers.htm?id=6859]
reminder, the journal’s next conference will be at Kwansei Gakun University
(between Osaka and Kobe, Japan) on 30 September 2017. The full call for papers
will be made available on the journal’s website and sent out at a later date.
Please consider attending this conference.
